Apple-Pie Celestia's early morning sun peeked over the horizon as Applejack strolledApple-Pie by starlitalpha
through Ponyville with her early morning deliveries in tow. She preferred making her
rounds early so she could pack her stand up at the end of the day and head straight for
home, just in time for dinner. A single bag filled to the top with apples remained slung
firmly across her shoulder as she made her way to the last stop. Ignoring the closed sign hanging in the door she nudged it open letting herself inside the bakery. A sneaky smile crossed her face, she strangely enjoyed the feeling of sneaking inside while the place was officially closed. The smell of sugar wafted through the air from the morning's first batch of goods as a pink pony poked her head through the kitchen doors.
"Hey there Applejack! Ready to get your apple on?" Pinkie asked with an enormous smile.

"Ah lost her, Ah really did " The voice came from a southern sounding mare. She closed her eyes tightly and sat under a tree, an apple tree she and a pink haired pony planted together. "Pinkie . Ah'm so sorry " She whispered more to herself than anyone.
Applejack had gotten into a fight with Pinkie Pie, her best friend if anyone would ask her, they had been dating for a few months almost a year; though she had stopped counting after five months. The fight had been over one of their friends, Rainbow Dash, Applejack felt as if Pinkie was looking longingly at the Pegasus. She knew Rainbow had a thing for the party pony.

It had been a few weeks since her return from Manehattan, and while she had been excited to be home, and to have her new cutie mark, she was having trouble readjusting to school. While it was true she never truly caught on to the sophisticated ways of Manehattan, she had forgotten how to simply relax around others and ‘make friends’, this fact made only harder by dirty rumors thrown about that she was some hoity toity pony pretending to be a bumpkin to get attention, but her strange mannerisms weren’t her fault, the entire situation just felt... ‘funny’. It was as if everything was against her, having her relearn how to live and act not once, but twice, and having everypony look down on her while she struggled to catch up.
Everything just felt ‘funny’, like she was trying to learn how to swim in jello.
