I was waiting a lot for an episode involving AJ and Pinkie and also for an episode with some "family role" for Pinkie Pie...and Pinkie Apple Pie utterly left me astonished!It was so crazy and tender at the same..I would like to see many other episodes with Pinkie in The Apple Family,cause:
1)honestly,I'm the only one who thinks that the original family of Pinkie si very dull?Out of the character,out of the story she had...they're all a lame compared to the bright personality of Pinkie,too dull to deserve to be her parents.The Apple instead are all spicy and funny as Pinkie is...not so crazy,but funny.
2)There were many hints they're related:the Apple Pie pun,the fact that as Pinkie picked the scroll from the bottom,same was for Applelicious,and..while they were singing I realized that Pinkie's mane is curly like an apple skin when you cut it to the core.
3)Finally Pinkie could count on someone different from herself,maybe,as the Others 5 Always did:
AJ:usually counted on her infinite numbered family
Twilight:c'mon,she's the favourite faithful student of Celestia...it's all,and she has Spike,too
Fluttershy
art of her shyness is balanced and controlled by Angel,the other Always by Rainbow Dash
Rainbow Dash:she has plenties of fans all over Equestria
Rarity:she's a famous styler,comes from a well-off family and her sister is Always with her
Pinkieinkie is like a baby-sitter and an employer for the Cakes:they're already a family and they're quite dull chars,except for the babies;she's the easiest to be ganged up against by the rest of the Mane Six (along with Fluttershy) but while Flutter had sometimes at least one to believe in her,Pinkie due to her freaky antics was Always underrated until to the end;so,she basically had never to count on...
This is why she should continue to stay with the Apples:she finally found a family and a support.I hope AJ won't ever gang up against Pinkie more,after this episode...or she will be a two-face friend as RD.RD showed lacks of loyalty towards Pinkie every time they were supposed to be best friend,and during the Others she commonly called her a freak.Ambiguous,uh?
